This is my Brief Proposal, it outlines everything that I will be attempting to achieve for my Final Major Project. In it you will learn my newly achieved skills from this year as well as skills I previously had, as well as how I will set out to complete my Final Major Project and its concept.
This schedule enables me to stay ahead of the game and keep on top of my to-do list. It ensures that I will finish my Final Major Project on time, as long as I stick to the schedule.
These weekly aims allow me to stay on top of what needs to be done in each week. In order for me to complete my project on time I have to stick to the schedule and these weekly aims.
These are all of my research plans for my project, they contain each area of research that I conducted to help create my project. These include both before the tutorial and after the tutorial.
Feedback allows me to receive a non-biased 3rd person perspective of my work and informs me on what I’m doing right and wrong and enables me to see how far behind I am or if I’m not doing enough research/idea development etc.
This post is dedicated to my idea development, which is mostly documented through my sketchbook with usage of mind maps and thumbnails. After each image posted I have explained what I have posted and why I did it, in regards to idea development. However, my idea development was drastically altered after I was given feedback
This area of research was needed to be conducted as it provides me with knowledge of the Revolution that commenced this Spirit of Kicking Off in France. This type of contextual knowledge can be displayed in my final piece and shows an understanding of the subject at hand, as well as adding a new level of depth to my work, which is a necessity.
The ’68 Student Riots in France is another area of research that needed to be done as I had need of this background knowledge in order to add a more profound meaning to my final piece.
This particular of contextual research was especially important as the causation of these riots still remain today, as well as a hostility which remains from these riots. The information acquired from my research on this topic will be referenced in my final piece.
The Uber Pop Riots; I discovered this by accident when trying to add to my Gilets Jaunes and other riot research areas. However, it became an interesting topic as it highlights a very prominent problem within France, which is their willingness to riot over something as common as new competition, which put forward by Macron, would even create more job opportunities for those stuck in the abyss of unemployment. It also showed the complexity behind these riots and maybe even a bit of idiocy or hypocrisy – whilst simultaneously emphasising the chaos in these riots. The hypocrisy being that a lack of employment causes disturbances within the suburbs which eventually lead to the capital, but when a new employment opportunity arises it is met with hostility. The reasons behind these riots are never black and white, there are both good and bad reasons behind each riot – some just want chaos and anarchy, others just want to be able to feed their family.
