I can use these maps to add depth and texture to my work – they have relevant meaning to the message behind my FMP as Paris is the capital of France and is also the central point for the revolutions and riots.

These are Revolution/Riot slogans that I can use in my work. It adds more context and reasoning behind my piece and gives me an excuse to add more of a James Victore-style typography which is what I want to add to my work.

I have researched these news sites as they allow me to see how the news stations are reporting on the riots and whose side they are taking. We can see a difference between the English and French reporting as the English reporting tend to report more neutrally whilst also placing judgement on the French people for rioting rather than being more peaceful. The French media will choose either the governments side or the protesters side, they tend to sympathise with the French people more as they themselves are affected by the same problems. Helmo is a French University. The work that they produce is experimental and visually interesting. Their work have a modernist feel to them as they are minimalist and the work they produce is timeless. I like the colours and typography used in their work, it ranges form formal styled font to a strange, hand made typography. They mix the formal font style with a chaotic placement within the piece to add to the depth of the piece and to represent the theme of jazz and festivals. (the middle 2 and the bottom right piece.)
