These are my designs that I created that led me towards my final outcome, this shows my range of ideas and how my head was working when creating new designs, as well as how I got to my final designs.
My designs were developed through different techniques being used which created new ideas, like using the gradient adjustment layer to change colours rather than a colour overlay added new textures and levels to my work – furthering idea development and creativity. Using new techniques and learning new skills allowed me to problem solve for current ideas as well as help create new ideas.
The crumpled paper design did not materialise as I could not find a way to make it look more aesthetically pleasing whilst being in relation to my concept. I attempted to use an icon to use it as a reference toward the 2005 riots, however my icon did not fit the design and so I scrapped it and went with the burned paper design instead. I preferred the burnt paper design as it takes the contextual evidence of the fires caused in the riots and the aesthetic design of a burnt map to signify rebellion against the government.
